Through years of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, Nadia not only found a path through her trauma, but also began to receive something extraordinary: dreams of fully formed songs. Out of pain came an unexpected gift—and a new way to share her art with the world.
Nadia packed her bags for New York City in 1998 to chase her dream of becoming a jazz singer. Since then, she’s released seven pop albums, performed on SNL, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, and Good Morning America, and shared the stage with legends like Sting, Shirley Bassey, James Taylor, Eurythmics , and Elton John.
This conversation is about loss, resilience, and how the reprocessing of grief can sometimes open unexpected doors of creativity.
